My Why: “One of the greatest gifts we can give our daughters is the belief that their future has no boundaries. Stories have a remarkable way of planting that belief. They become the spark for imagination, the courage to ask “what if,” and the confidence to keep going when life gets hard. That’s why I believe so deeply in Books That Build Skills—because every girl deserves stories that don’t just entertain her, but inspire her to build a life filled with curiosity, purpose, and possibility.”

Shreyanka Seetharam
Website Strategy & Audit
My Why: “Honestly, I said yes to this because I remember exactly which books made me feel like I could figure anything out as a kid, and I wanted to help build that same feeling for someone else. I like how intentional this organization is: using stories, hands-on learning, and real career exposure to help girls actually see themselves doing something bigger. It’s a small thing, but if it means one more girl finds the site, gets the book, and thinks ‘oh, I could do that too,’ that’s the whole point for me.”
