Call me crazy, but Ali was murdered. There was no way someone like her died of “natural causes”. The question was really why would anyone kill her? She was murdered, and I’m sure of it. To prove it, I questioned Selma–politely of course.

Interrogation 1: Dr. Selma Hu

● Agrees that she probably didn’t die of natural causes–even though it was possible

● Believes it must’ve been some kind of poison

● Maybe she was sick before she got on board

● Selma’s vote on the capsule was rigged by the USA, info she found out while talking to one of the president’s secretaries about her acceptance. She made me swear not to tell anyone.

I quickly realized that the interrogation was making Selma upset, so I thanked her and left with the little information I had. The doctor confirmed my suspicions, Alistar Knox was murdered. It must’ve been some kind of poison because to get on board, we had to go through tons of wellness checks, background checks, physical exams, blah blah blah. There was no way Ali would’ve made it if she was sick, which means she got sick on board. It couldn’t have been the food cause she’d been in space before—multiple times even. And there weren’t any wounds and there definitely wasn’t blood so poison was obvious.

The question was why? And who? It happened yesterday for sure. Ali was a super nice person. She was on the Space Force, she’d been in space before, she was dating, and she was being courted for president. When no one was looking, I may or may not have stolen her phone……oops. Anyway, it was unlocked when I got it, so I looked through it (which felt so wrong) in search of something suspicious. I didn’t find anything, but when I looked at the news, I saw an article talking about how they’d basically abolished the electoral college. I guess that means that elections are solely based on popular vote. Well, that’ll make the next election pretty interesting.

Five astronauts walked up to the large gate opening to the launchpad. Me and the astronauts were handed space suits by a clerk. The space suit was white and brown colored and had the San Diego Flash emblem on it with the NASA logo next to it.

The suit fit me well. It felt like an insulator jacket keeping me way warmer than the temperature where I was. The autoregulator would turn on as soon as we entered the spaceship.

Another announcement came telling us astronauts to enter the large doors. Right after the brief announcement, the doors opened and a gate similar to that of an airport lay ahead of us. The gate climbed 100 feet to the base of the rocket and was 1000 feet long. While I and the other astronauts were going through the gate, I asked them if they were excited for this mission. They answered with an emphatic yes. The mood as I boarded the rocket was a mix of excitement and apprehension, but there was no turning back now. The only thing I could do was hope for the best and safest trip.

Sergey sees the red planet and it increases his optimism and he is very happy and mentally stable finally. Did we get a call from Mission Control and it’s for me? Usually, I don’t get any calls from people, but I answer it and apparently, I’m being interviewed for a guest appearance on a show! It turns out it’s a show run by physicist Neil deGrasse Tyson! I was overjoyed to find out I might get an appearance on a show with one of my favorite people! I have so many questions to ask him, I want to find out the secrets of the universe! I hold my excitement back a little as I realize I’m getting a little carried away. I decided to take the interview, and I succeeded and got a spot on the show when I returned. I can’t believe I am going on Startalk with Neil deGrasse Tyson, A famous Physicist. We then clock out for the night and all sleep preparing for the imminent capture burn and landing on Mars.

Today’s the day! We are 200,000 kilometers above the Martian surface at sea level and we have just started our capture burn to get into Martian orbit. We have just been the fastest people alive with how fast we went to Mars in only thirty days.

…the ship you’ve been hearing all the buzz about, that’s going to Mars, was designed by me. I’ve worked really hard to get here, and now I’m the Commander of this ship. I was picked by NASA, but if I talked to myself 20 years ago, I would tell me to pursue singing. I love singing. This job is too hard and stressful for me, and I wish I had more time to spend with my family, but it’s too late now, the road here was perilous, and I’m not turning back.
